Exuberance was the first of a seven piece commission I am working on for a client in Dubai. The white Dahlia burst forth with a vital life. I was painting this at the end of a few weeks of very busy activity, tired and low on energy , I painted the heart of the flower and as its petals reached out to the world I started to feel energised and full of life. By the time I finished it a week later I was dancing around the studio. I love the way that the paintings gift me with their energy and then pass those feelings on to the space they hang in.
