New Studio Opens at RedPod- Anita Nowinska Flower Paintings & Landscapes
A Space to create my Flower Paintings & Landscapes
I’m overjoyed that I have finally found a permanent spot to settle my studio in Devon. Having a bright, spacious and most importantly DRY studio after the adventures with collapsing floors, underground springs etc over the past two years makes me sigh a deep breath of relief. Therefore I’ll be able to let loose on my Flower Paintings & landscapes with peace of mind.
Furthermore, I can welcome visitors and clients and spread out and do larger paintings again. Feeling settled, with a dedicated space to create and feel embedded with my work is so vital to me and the last year has been hard, working from home, where distractions are numerous and my art materials always felt as if they were in the way or making a mess!
Part of an exciting Arts project
It is particularly exciting as my studio is part of RedPod Studios at The Redlake Trading Estate, Bitteford, near Ivybridge Devon. An old clay works being converted into an arts center. There are many artists working there from fellow painters to sculptors and potters, which is wonderful for sharing creative ideas and collaborating on projects.
Creative buzz & collaboration
The future is exciting as the place will develop to include a gallery, shop, cafe and restaurant, provide workshops and lots of wonderful arts events. Most of all there is something special about having a quiet, private space to work, but also the companionship and creative energy of other artists when i take a break. I have already met so many vibrant and wonderful people here, who I can tell will become friends over the following months.
Freedom to work & experiment
Most of all I’m loving being able to spread out, get the pastels, Oils and Acrylics out and working for me. To me, having a dedicated place just for me and my paintings is so crucial. I feel as it I have an outlet, a safe space where I can be with my creative process, my thoughts.. sketch, play and create on any scale. I think for all of us, having that place to yourself is so important.
The importance of a dedicated work space
There is something magical about being to get totally lost and absorbed in the creative process, to have peace of mind and the space to explore where I want to go next with my work.
As a result I am working on a number of new Flower paintings, which in this space can be bigger and bolder. Furthermore, also taking time to experiment with new ideas which have been in my mind for ages. Playing with textures and new subject matter taken from the landscape and nature as well as some deeper images focusing on femininity and my own personal growth as a woman, which I have avoided getting onto canvas for many years.
If you would like to come and see me and my work in progress you will always be welcomed with a cup of tea or coffee, a comfy seat and a warm smile. Just give me a call on 673-129-1541 and let me know when you would like to come, you are always welcome.
If you cant make it to the studio you can still see and buy my original Flower paintings & landscape from my website here
